Ballarat is in bloom with the annual Ballarat Begonia Festival held at the Ballarat Botanical Gardens from 11th - 20th March, 2022.

Celebrating its 70th year, visitors will be welcomed by a vibrant display of over 3000 begonias. The Ballarat Botanical Gardens grow over 540 types of begonias (more than 240 tuberous begonias, and 300 non-tuberous begonias), including rare and unique types.

Visit the conservatory to see the begonia display; wander around the beautifully maintained botanical gardens; stroll down Prime Ministers Walk to view the collection of Australian Prime Minister statues. Check out the program of activities to see and do linked down below.
